Varnish Software, with a development lab in Karlstad, together with the processor manufacturer Intel, has taken a major technological leap in terms of speeds for streaming and delivery of digital content.

Intel recently announced during the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona that together with Varnish Software, it achieved staggering performance of close to 400 Gbit per second on a standard server from SuperMicro equipped with the latest generation of processor technology from Intel. - This kind of performance is what will be required in the 5G networks of the future to distribute digital content and to run the applications of the future in what is called the "Mobile Edge".
