TeliaSonera has started a collaboration with AppDirect, a global provider of marketplaces for applications in the cloud. The collaboration is the starting point for TeliaSonera's investment in a new market place for small and medium-sized business customers in the Nordics and Baltics. For customers, it means a "one stop shop" to find, try, buy and administer applications in the cloud.
Users' need for a mobile and efficient way of working is increasing, and for companies that want to avoid investing in complex solutions, applications in the cloud are a good fit. Eight in ten companies also believe they will pay for cloud applications in 2015, compared to one in three today*. Therefore, TeliaSonera is now investing in building a marketplace with the best and most requested applications. This means that customers get a single place to manage purchases and payments as well as a better overview of their services, which increases security and cost control.

Today, it is mainly those who have knowledge and who understand how the technology works who feel safe buying applications. Through the collaboration with AppDirect, we make it easier for our customers to choose and benefit from the advantages of applications in the cloud, says Thomas Johansson, head of business products within Broadband Services at TeliaSonera.
During the year, TeliaSonera will conduct a pilot test where a number of customers will be invited and have the opportunity to participate and influence customer experience and content. The pilot will be carried out on the Swedish market.
