Through the purchase of the communications operator Zitius, TeliaSonera continues its investment in the fiber business. The acquisition also includes Quadracom Networks and the service provider Riksnet, and the operations will be part of TeliaSonera's Swedish unit Fiber Business. The total purchase price amounts to SEK 473 million on a debt-free basis.
The acquisition complements TeliaSonera's major investment, which means that the mobile and fixed infrastructure is expanded throughout Sweden, corresponding to investments of SEK 5 billion per year until 2015.
Through the purchase, TeliaSonera's Swedish operations take over the communications operator Zitius with 160,000 connected households, the network operator Quadracom Networks and the service provider Riksnet. The acquired companies are today owned by MTG Broadcasting AB and Quadracom AB and had a turnover of approximately SEK 330 million pro forma in 2012.

The deal is subject to approval from the competition authority.
