Stretch celebrates – turns ten years old

Ten years ago, Stretch was started - a consulting company within business systems. "During these years, we have become a recognized company in the SAP industry and now have as a vision to become a leading Nordic company in business systems", says Jan Maelum - founder and CEO of Stretch, which is now located in six locations: Stockholm, Gothenburg, Malmö , Karlstad, Oslo and Copenhagen

When Stretch started ten years ago, it was with the goal of becoming a recognized, prosperous and long-term consulting company. The starting point was consulting within SAP and quite soon the company, despite its small size, became a partner of SAP. Much depends on a clear focus on a few areas, primarily Business Intelligence and Integration.

"It was important to quickly become, not just good, but the best in any field. Something that gave us an identity", says Jan Maelum: "Based on that position, we have then been able to develop our business".

Today, Stretchca has 130 employees in six different locations – Stockholm, Gothenburg, Malmö, Karlstad, Oslo and Copenhagen.

"We want to follow our customers in their development and meet their demand, and since several of our major customers are Nordic, it is natural that we have become one as well," says Jan Maelum.

The services include not only IT but also deep operational and process competence. In addition, at the beginning of 2012, a company aimed exclusively at the public sector, called Stretch Public, was started.

"So when we look back on our history on May 2nd, we can proudly state that we have reached our original goal - to become a recognized, prosperous and long-term company. With that as a basis, we now take a new approach for ten new exciting and challenging years", concludes Jan Maelum.
