Jörgen Larsson, team manager and quality manager at Nordic Medtest with the new certificates.

During 2015 and 2016, solid and fundamental work was done at Nordic Medtest to certify the business against two standards. ISO 9001 is the world's most used standard for management systems and aims to ensure that processes and management work are qualitative and effective. The purpose of the ISO 27001 standard is to secure a systematic and efficient way of working with information security in the organization.

The certificates must be updated every three years through a recertification audit. One such has now been completed and involves an auditor going through the management system and how the organization handles quality assurance and information assets. Infrastructure, server management and operational aspects are also reviewed. Noticed deviations are then rectified.

"The renewed certificates are proof that we hold the banner high in following and developing our work with the respective standard and work according to the principles required to be certified," says Jörgen Larsson, team manager, quality manager and information security manager at Nordic Medtest. "It is a security for the management, our staff and our clients to be able to see that we are certified. With the certification, we ensure the correct handling of information assets and that all of the organization's processes are qualitative and lead to continuous improvements. The certification audit itself also gives us a lot of valuable input into the improvement work."

Jörgen continues: "It is gratifying to receive the certificates as proof that we are working correctly with the business system and that we are able to maintain and develop the high standard that the certifications require. This despite the fact that the business has expanded greatly since the original certification three years ago".

The audit for recertification has been carried out by RISE (Research Institutes of Sweden).
