*Midroc receives new crane orders of SEK 50 million

During the first quarter of the year, Midroc Automation secured orders for SEK 50 million for cranes and crane systems with both Sandvik and SSAB.

Midroc Automation has been commissioned by Sandvik Material Technology and Sandvik Mining and Construction to deliver a complete delivery of eight overhead cranes. The delivery also includes fail-safe control systems, drive systems and an advanced weighing system.

The delivery to SSAB EMEA Oxelösund includes rebuilding a 320 tonne casting crane with new electrical equipment, new cabling and a new driver's seat. Added to this is an order that includes safety systems with fail-safe I/O nodes for control and monitoring of an automatic sheet metal warehouse that is integrated with cranes previously supplied by Midroc. That delivery consists of design, manufacture of device cabinets, programming and commissioning.
