Midroc has received an order from AstraZeneca to further develop a system for advanced control of analytical equipment. The assignment is carried out by Midroc Automation Karlstad, which is focused on Industrial IT and has specialist knowledge in measurement technology and lab automation.
AstraZeneca uses various analysis equipment within PAT (Process Analytical Technology), and the SenISS system is used to control this equipment.
SenISS is a tailor-made system that has been further developed by Midroc Automation in recent years, i.a. in a project where a completely new analytical instrument for quality assurance within the framework of PAT and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) was developed.
The order involves upgrading SenISS partly to support new analytical instruments and partly to be rolled out at more research centers and production facilities globally at AstraZeneca. In connection with this, the application platform must be updated to a more modern architecture and adapted for a new infrastructure at AstraZeneca.
The undertaking consists of investigation, specification, programming, testing, delivery and documentation and will be completed during the summer of 2010. The assignment is carried out by Midroc Automation Karlstad, which is focused on Industrial IT and has specialist knowledge in measurement technology and lab automation.
"A multidisciplinary project with a high technical level in close collaboration with the customer - completely in line with our strength and competence in Karlstad", says Björn Johansson, who is project manager at Midroc.
