Meet Karlstad's full stack developer, Fredrik Öller!

How did it all start for you? What made you interested in IT, development and programming?

- It probably all started with an interest in games and computers in my youth, but it wasn't until I was around 25 that my interest in development was really awakened. I thought you had to have programmed since childhood or read a lot of math to learn to program, but it turned out that wasn't the case. I applied for and got into a systems development course at the University West in Trollhättan. The first programming course we had was "Basic programming in C#" and I was immediately hooked!

What does your professional role at Consid look like?

- I am a full-stack developer, which means that I work with both interface and server programming. A normal day starts with the daily standup, where I and the team go through what we did yesterday and what we are going to do today. The project I'm working on now can include either changing or adding content to a page or streamlining the process for deploying applications.

What is the best thing about Consid, in your opinion?

- I got a tip from a friend that Consid was looking for developers in Karlstad and I thought the company seemed exciting, so I applied. What I really like about Consid's office in Karlstad are all my fantastic colleagues who are so incredibly professional and nice. We always have fun at work! Then I like the opportunity to work with exciting clients, both locally and nationally. It is also great fun to be involved from the beginning and set up an office in a new city.
