Business has a lot to learn from the sports world. In which situations do you need to perform at your peak? Effect Management participated in Värmland's Growth & Innovation Day at Karlstad CCC on October 27.

Peter Rovér had invited his student, Christina Bengtsson, from the Cruyff Institute MDA program at the IFL at the Stockholm School of Economics to participate in a talk on parallels between the sports world and the business world.

Christina Bengtsson, world champion in precision shooting, talked about training her ability to find full focus and concentration. Athletes devote a lot of time to quality training before a championship, when you have to perform at your peak, and where the pressure is high and a weak performance has clear consequences. What can we learn about "ordinary jobs" from it?

Peter believes that we have these situations in business as well, e.g. when presenting a business idea to investors, an internal company meeting with the employees, presentation of results in front of a board, etc. The difference between the world of sports and business is that they train hard for those situations. Why don't we do that? How do you succeed in being here and now?

Peter is program manager for the Cruyff Institute Management Diploma for Athletes (MDA) at the IFL at the School of Economics. The program consists of former elite athletes who will embark on a second career in business. Christina Bengtsson is one of the participants, together with Peter Forsberg, Magdalena Forsberg, etc.
