Effect Management - new company in the Compare network

Compare has gained yet another interested company - Effect Management Development AB, which joins the network to, among other things, find collaboration partners.

Effect Management Development works with development and changes: "It is also relevant in the ICT world - that's why we want to be part of the Compare network to find partners, among other things to implement process improvements in the ICT systems", explains Staffan Barrefors at Effects Management Development.

The company was started in 1989 in Karlstad as a challenger alternative to the "big" consulting companies from the big cities. Effect Management Development currently has eight employees and two associated consultants within the company's three organizational perspectives – business and operational development, organizational development and individual development.

"We have Karlstad as a base - but the whole of Sweden and Swedish companies and organizations as a market and customers," says Staffan Barrefors, who was recently recruited to Effect Management Development.

Staffan Barrefors has extensive experience from business and operational development in large and international organizations - and he is well versed in the IT and telecom industry.

"ICT is much more than servers and software - today it's more about changing and streamlining operations with the help of ICT," he says. "Therefore, as management consultants, we may need partners with ICT competence".

Staffan Barrefors is also already aware of the collaboration that takes place through Compare. "There is a dynamic in the Compare network that is an asset for the entire business life in the region - and we would like to be a part of that by becoming an interested company in Compare".

Compare Testlab at Sätterstrand is a successful result of the collaboration, according to Staffan Barrefors, who believes that the investment is at the right time:

"The computer halls have everything that ICT customers demand today - green IT with low energy consumption and a clear environmental profile".
In addition, he sees Compare Testlab as an exciting and creative environment with unique opportunities to test new ideas: "Just look at how easy it was to test the operation of servers with direct current instead of traditional alternating current - such an opportunity should be used by more people".

"The entire Sätterstrand Business Park is an environment with great potential - and an example of a successful collaboration between the business world through Compare, the public sector through Hammarö municipality and Karlstad University," says Staffan Barrefors.
