Through a unique study with over 1,000 participants from all over the world, researchers from Karlstad University have investigated how the corona pandemic has affected people's everyday lives. The study provides an exciting insight into how people have adapted to the new situation, which new habits they have adopted and which old habits they long to resume.
- Sometimes a black swan appears that forces us to look at the world with new eyes. Covid-19 is in many ways such a swan. There were probably not many sports holiday celebrants in the spring and winter of 2020 who suspected that our habits and behaviors would soon be turned upside down, and that digifys would become the new normal, says Erik Wästlund, project leader for the study and associate professor of psychology.
The purpose of the study at CTF, Center for service research, is to gain more knowledge about the development of digitized services with the user's needs in focus. The results are to be used in continued research around digitization to gain increased knowledge about what is worth digitizing, and to invest time and money in.
