DeepFake has been called "the scariest thing on the web right now".
Why is it so scary? Or is it something that has always existed, only that it has come in a new form?
DeepFakes on the internet showed to begin with how, with the help of machine learning, you can in a fairly simple way sound e.g. people in movie clips get someone else's face. With frighteningly good results. In recent times, the technology has been used on politicians, celebrities, etc. and has had a great impact worldwide.
What happens to us humans when we can no longer trust anything we see or hear? When "everything" can be "fake"?
Welcome to an introduction to DeepFakes with subsequent discussion about risks and opportunities with the new technology in this week's TechTalk.
On site is Compare's digital business developer Stefan Skoglund, who guides us through an exciting and terrifying future phenomenon that has already influenced the social debate about what is real and what is not. And that will affect us all!
