Guest lecture: cyber security for a sustainable society

CTF, the Center for Service Research at Karlstad University, invites you to a lecture with researcher and cyber security expert Fredrik Blix from Stockholm University.

Fredrik Blix is a PhD in cyber security and university lecturer in information security at Stockholm University. He is also Principal at the Swedish IT development company Cybercom. Fredrik Blix is often seen in the media where he explains complex cyber security issues in a simple way.

- In line with the advance of digitalisation, cyber security has taken on an increasingly prominent role. Today, there are almost no criminal investigations without IT elements, no wars or conflicts between countries without cyber attacks, no clean water in the tap or payments in business without cyber security. In short – cyber security has become central to a sustainable society, says Fredrik Blix.

The seminar "Cybersecurity for a sustainable society" will revolve around questions such as: What is a sustainable society and what role does cyber security play in such a society? What is the role of cyber security in today's society and how will it change? How can we as a company, organization, municipality or region contribute to good cyber security? What are the points of contact between cyber security and other scientific fields such as business administration, informatics, marketing and service design?

Staff and students at Karlstad University and the public are welcome to participate.

No pre-registration is required.
