Among other things, the study has resulted in a framework that can be used by municipalities, cities and other stakeholders to hold discussions and question the concept of "smart city" or "smart cities".
The term "smart city" appears more and more often in visions, initiatives and conferences that deal with the development we are in. It is easy to limit yourself, to focus on technical aspects and solutions that can lead astray. Robin believes that the goal is not the solutions. But the most essential thing is what changes and what developments are going on, and which we are facing. That it is the changes that control which technology is used and how, not the other way around. An important distinction, as a technology focus can lead to deficient communities that do not support the needs of residents.
