What attracted you to Compare?
– The societal challenges we face, due to the security situation and the rapid development of AI, require a high level of innovation. Especially in tech and digital development. I felt very attracted to be part of the process. Working with communication in such a communication-centred industry feels incredibly exciting. Compare is the spider in the web that connects companies, start-ups, investors, the public sector and research to create a more robust structure for innovation at a time when it is absolutely crucial.
What will you do as Communications Officer?
– I will be involved in both strategic and operational communication work, balancing between internal communication processes and project-linked efforts. I will mainly work with the Swedish-Norwegian interreg project Cross Border Cyber Capacity (CBCC), focusing on cybersecurity, but also with the project Smart & Safe which focuses on creating safe public environments through smart IoT solutions, and the project Health Data Sweden (HDS ) which revolves around digital transformation in health data.
What have you done before?
– Most recently, I have worked with the development of the food industry as a communicator at Nifa, the trade association for food and beverage companies in Värmland. Before that, I worked as a journalist for almost ten years, including three years as editor of the business magazine Värmlands Affärer. Originally, however, I am a cultural scientist and worked as a cultural coordinator in Region Värmland for just over two years with responsibility for a project in organising. In short, I have a winding professional path behind me that has contributed with many different perspectives and competences.
What do you do when you’re not working?
– Most of my free time is spent with my wife, our four-year-old son, our two cats and other loved ones. The rest of my time I like to spend being creative in one way or another. I have been a creative writer for as long as I can remember, but I also enjoy painting, photography, film and music. Lately, I’ve become obsessed with the AI-powered music tool Udio, which allows you to create songs by, for example, entering your own lyrics and experimenting with prompts to create the sound you’re after.
