DICOND is a day that brings together students in Computer Science and Informatics at Karlstad University with the business community in Värmland to jointly discuss the future of digital skills in the region. What are the needs and expectations?
The first DICOND was held on 25 September 2024 at Karlstad University and attracted up to 70 participants. The initiative was appreciated by both students, researchers and companies that participated.
During the day, companies presented their experiences of collaborating with the university, while students gained an insight into and direct contact with the regional business community.
Karlstad University also highlighted its opportunities to strengthen ties with the business community and how collaboration can lead to better conditions for both students and companies.
– “Through events like DICOND, we help to strengthen the link between companies and future talent. Our goal is to stimulate the supply of skills in tech and ensure that Värmland is equipped for the digital challenges of the future,” says Marcus Olsson Ramberg, Innovation Manager at Compare.
