At the beginning of the year, Nordic Medtest received increased responsibility as a test and development center within Inera. Nordic Medtest is a wholly owned subsidiary of Inera AB. Historically speaking, Nordic Medtest has worked with software testing of primarily national IT services and infrastructure within healthcare but is now establishing a development operation.

It is very gratifying and positive that we have succeeded in recruiting new employees to us, both experienced system developers and testers. It gives us a good foundation to stand on as we now take on our increased responsibilities. We also see that our expansion will continue.

Nordic Medtest is now establishing application management for the National Service Platform and Secure Digital Communication as well as a development team within a larger multi-year development project. In addition to this, Nordic Medtest has previously performed testing and test management within Inera's entire operation, which includes, among other things, the 1177 Vårdguiden and a large number of other IT services that are used within regions and municipalities.

- As we are already responsible for testing within Inera today, we have a great deal of knowledge about Inera's services, architecture and infrastructure. We also already have employees who are basically developers. When we then establish development teams, we see great advantages in being able to work with both test and development. We can work more long-term, efficiently and in close cooperation with Inera's administrations and benefit from what we already know, says Karin Lindh, head of unit at Nordic Medtest.
