Midroc Automation in Karlstad has finally delivered a superior control system to Bosch Rexroth Mellansel. The background is the need for recipe-based control in an automatic painting of Hägglund's hydraulic motors in order to increase their capacity and obtain more consistent quality. The undertaking consisted of investigation, specification, programming, testing, delivery and documentation.
The project involved overall management of modern painting technology to minimize the impact on the environment and to obtain better quality and corrosion protection. Midroc's system was built with the latest technology from Microsoft and assigns tasks to process boxes (washers, blasters, painting robots, dryers, etc.) in the paint shop as well as driverless forklifts (AGVs). Midroc's system also has communication with other peripheral systems such as RFID and superior business system.
Midroc Automation's project manager Stefan Andersson says: "It was a project where we had to carry out the type of project that we specialize in here in Karlstad, communication with different types of systems and tie everything together into a unit where we add customer benefit and automate the customer's process”.
"We chose Midroc Automation in Karlstad because they showed reference to systems they had built before where you communicate with, among other things, driverless trucks and machines and that you perform your work with good quality," says Per Edvardsson at Bosch Rexroth.
