Atea and Ilab have developed an app for municipal care and social care that is estimated to save millions of kroner. The app reduces paperwork and means more time for care recipients. Borlänge is the first to sign an agreement for the new mobile solution.
Borlänge municipality signs an agreement for the delivery of a new mobile solution, which makes it possible for employees to manage administration on site at the care recipients. This takes place via the Viva care app, which gives them direct access to the care administrative system.
- The app means more time and the opportunity for increased influence for the care recipient. It will also be safer and easier for the staff when they have access to the right information and manage the documentation on site with our care recipients, says Kerstin Stålnäbb, IT strategist and eHealth coordinator for the social sector in Borlänge municipality.
The rollout of Viva care starts in February and is expected to be completed in 2017. When all 2,000 employees have access to the app, it is estimated to provide a time saving of 230,000 hours per year, which corresponds to an additional 460,000 visits to care recipients.
- There is a great demand for IT that facilitates operations and it is very positive that together with Ilab we can offer this type of service, says Simon Norman, responsible for mobile solutions at Atea.
The app is developed for home care and home health care in accordance with the requirements set in the Social Services Act and the Health Care Act and is based on Ilab's care administration system Viva.
