Blekinge county council signs an agreement with Atea to build the county council's data center. The agreement runs for two years with the possibility of extension for a further total of four years. The deal is worth SEK 24 million in the first two years.
- We are happy and proud that we get to participate in developing the county council's IT infrastructure where IT is an important enabler for good and efficient care, says Mattias Lindell, site manager for Atea in Kalmar and Karlskrona.
The delivery includes preliminary study and analysis as well as hardware in the form of servers, storage and data communication, as well as security and on-site IT consultants.
- In the procurement, we sought a strategic partner with high competence and clear environmental work for the development of the county council's data center, and we are therefore very pleased that we are now starting a collaboration with Atea, says Per Johansson, administrative manager of the Blekinge county council.
The agreement runs for two years with the possibility of extension for a further total of four years. The deal is worth SEK 24 million in the first two years.
- Our strength as a company is that we are both very local with 30 offices, including in Karlskrona and Kalmar, and at the same time have the advantages of a large company with access to the leading specialists in IT infrastructure, says Mattias Lindell.
Blekinge County Council is responsible, among other things, for hospitals, public dental care, primary care and psychiatry.
