A fair employer is an attractive employer. Many employers need to recruit new employees now or in the coming years. This is positive and exciting, but it can also take time and effort to find the right skills. By conducting a fair recruitment process, you will attract more qualified candidates to apply for the vacancy. Fair and transparent recruitment promotes diversity, gender equality and creates a positive working environment where everyone has an equal opportunity to succeed and contribute to the success of the organisation. But how do you actually recruit fairly and without discrimination? What do you need to take into account and what elements need to be included?
During the year, we will offer a basic training programme within the Attraktionskraft Värmland project on what an equal recruitment process can look like. The training will give you smart and valuable tips on how your recruitment process can become more inclusive and equal. You will work with different fictitious companies and, together with other participants, practice writing an inclusive requirements profile and advert.
The training will be held by Lena Witting, HR consultant at Region Värmland and Louise Torevik, project manager in skills supply and social sustainability at the business cluster IUC Stål & verkstad. Lena and Louise will guide through various exercises linked to the parts of the recruitment process to raise awareness and perhaps challenge the participants. What does the organisation look like and what are the future needs? Do the staff reflect the customers of the company or organisation? Are the adverts seen in the right forum and what is the right forum for the target audience? These are some of the questions that will be discussed.
The training sessions are free of charge and will take place on three dates of your choice and you can book one of the dates via the link below. For the training to take place, at least 6 participants are required.
