Data-driven startups represented Värmland at A-match

Around 50 investors were attracted yesterday to the seventh edition of the A-match investor forum in Karlstad. There they met nine selected startups, with a strong niche towards sustainability and circularity.

Värmland was represented at the A-match by three exciting companies – all with extensive experience of entrepreneurship.

PlayD8 wants to create a circular market for toys, where children can sell and buy toys via a gamified platform. The beta version will soon be launched with Karlstad as the pilot market, where they already have more toy adverts than Blocket. The other Värmland companies, Visibla and SavingsTracker, both have unique digital services that address sustainability and purchasing in the manufacturing industry in different ways.

Exciting connection to industry

– I think all the participating companies were of high quality. From a Compare perspective, it was extra fun that the Värmland companies showcased innovative and digital services, with clear links to the manufacturing industry. For example, Visibla has already started collaborations with several regional companies and the mix of digital technology combined with traditional industry I think is very exciting, says Ingrid Ivars, Transformation Manager at Compare.

The Värmland companies that participated in the A-match: PlayD8, Visibla and SavingsTracker.
