Employers are in great need of new skills. In Värmland alone, over 900 more people are needed in IT, construction and production in the next few years, and nationally there is a shortage of over 40,000.
Karlstad University wants to take greater responsibility and contribute to Sweden’s long-term competitiveness, development and green transition and delivers programmes that lead to jobs:
- 97% of civil engineers and 98% of university engineers from Karlstad are established in the labour market three years after graduation.
- Strong partnerships with industry give students hands-on experience and the opportunity to contribute to innovation already during their studies.
- Expertise in cybersecurity, AI, forest bioeconomy, materials science and service development.
