Compare graduates in gender equality

During the autumn, employees at Compare have been trained in gender equality, and are now proudly certified in the subject.

During the training, which was carried out together with employees from Region Värmland and the clusters Paper Province and IUC Stål & Verkstad, topics such as norm awareness, harassment techniques and jargon were discussed. Participants have been able to analyse and reflect on real-life examples under the guidance of Maria Hulth and David Flato from Jämställt.

Expectations for awareness and competence in gender equality are constantly increasing. Competition for skills in the labour market is high and the demands on employers are increasingly about an equal and inclusive workplace with a good climate. To meet future demands for gender equality as a hygiene factor, we need to work on attitudes, norms and values.

Active gender equality work also has a number of proven positive effects.

One of the most important benefits is the increased innovation that results when employees with different perspectives and competences work together. It also makes it easier to find and retain the right skills, as gender-equal and inclusive workplaces have been shown to have less sick leave and better job satisfaction.

Attractiveness of Värmland

Compare, together with Paper Province, IUC Stål&Verkstad and Region Värmland, are working together through the Attraction Värmland initiative with several initiatives to increase the attractiveness of Värmland and strengthen organisations in their work.
