By developing AI support, communication and coordination between agencies could be improved. Children and young people with mental health problems should not have to get stuck in an administrative trap. The journey through the system should be as smooth as possible.
Within the project, we aim to identify AI-based tools that could be integrated into existing processes to support and guide staff to get a better overview of the needs of children and young people, thus contributing to smoother coordination and decision support. The idea is that the tools can be used in schools, student health, social services, and the region’s activities, such as youth clinics, first line and health centres. In other words, anyone who meets children and young people with mental health problems.
Important steps will be taken during the fall of 2025. Exactly what that means will be revealed in the near future. Keep an eye on our project page for more information in the future.
The Children and Youth Journey is funded by Vinnova and Region Värmland. The project is a collaboration between Arvika Municipality, Eda Municipality, Årjäng Municipality and Säffle Municipality, as well as Compare, Region Värmland and Karlstad University. The work is based on the existing collaboration between the municipalities of West Värmland on Close Care.
