In order to address the cyber challenges of tomorrow, we need new ideas, new technologies and new business models. That’s the why behind Cyber X Idea Lab, which has been initiated by Compare, DigitalWell Ventures and The Grants & Innovation Office at Karlstad University. It is a free idea programme that starts september 25th 2025 and runs for eight Thursdays between 16.00 and 18.00. The sessions will be held at Karlstad University and Karlstad Innovation Park.
Who is eligible for the programme?
Perhaps you are a student, a PHD student or a researcher at Karlstad University – or perhaps employed in the private or public sector?
Regardless of your role, you have knowledge, ideas and commitment that can shape future solutions for a safer and smarter society.
It doesn’t matter whether you have a fully formed idea, already are up and running or just have a seed that could grow into an idea. We will help you to lay the puzzle and test the business potential of your idea.
No prior knowledge about entrepreneurship is needed!
The programme will provide
- Practical tools to test and validate your idea based on real needs.
- Support in developing business models and teams to succeed.
- A wide network with experts and potential collaborators.
- Pitch training with feedback to present your idea in an engaging way.
- A unique study visit to CCIS, Center for Cyber and Information Security, at NTNU in Gjøvik, Norway, and an opportunity to participate in the Mötesplats Vision conference in Karlstad.
- Opportunity to meet and collaborate with Norwegian innovators who are taking the Norwegian equivalent to this programme.
